One piece of news for Chicken Little -- the first purchase of ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.

Chicken Little has entered the world of cryptocurrencies

May 2017 performance

Chicken Little gained almost a percent in May because of an increase in the price of long-term US Treasury bonds.

We continue to live in a fantasy land where all asset prices go up without any significant pullbacks.  Among the major asset classes tracked by Chicken Little, stocks outside the US had the best month in May, and have had the best year so far.

June 2017 portfolio positions

Chicken Little hates the Fed. Perhaps it was inevitable that a critic of fiat currencies would eventually purchase cryptocurrencies. Chicken Little has made a first, probing investment in ethereum, bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies.

I will discuss the motivation for buying crypto more fully in the future. For now, I will say that my two main beliefs are: i) cryptocurrencies are real. They are not the 21st century versions of Dutch tulip bulbs, and ii) we are very early in the investment cycle in cryptocurrencies.

As of June 1, 2017, Chicken Little is long US Treasuries with a good amount of cash, and a tiny amount of cryptocurrencies and stocks.
